Hometown Clowns: Ex-NFLer Le’Veon Bell Calls Out Rapper Bow Wow: ‘You’ve Done ZERO for Columbus!’ | WATCH

*In the age of social media, the bar for what constitutes a celebrity feud has plummeted so low that even a casual remark about hometown pride can spark an all-out blitz.

Enter rapper and actor Bow Wow, who recently claimed he’s “the biggest” person to emerge from Columbus, Ohio. But hold the applause! Enter Le’Veon Bell, the ex-NFL running back and social media juggernaut who jumped at the chance to dunk on Bow Wow’s questionable assertion.

This whole spectacle kicked off just after Ohio State snatched victory from Notre Dame, prompting Bow Wow to bask in the afterglow of the Buckeyes’ glory while apparently assigning himself the crown for Columbus’s biggest celebrity. Cue Bell’s eye-roll, which was so loud it practically echoed through the Twitterverse.

“Someone help me understand how Lil Bow Wow can think he’s the biggest from Columbus, OH, and he has done NOTHING,” Bell tweeted, sounding less like a sports star and more like that one friend who just can’t let go of a good roast session at the bar. “When I say NOTHING, I mean absolutely ZERO! The ONLY thing he can claim is buying box tickets to the Ohio State Nati, and all of a sudden he’s ‘the biggest’? Bro, so fried,” he continued, making sure to put the “LOL” in “social media.”

In a series of no-holds-barred videos, Bell turned the heat up even more. If Bow Wow was attempting to bask in a moment of glory, Bell was having none of it.

“No, Bow Wow, nope, nope, nope, no, no. You’re from Atlanta,” he firmly stated, reminding us all that Bow Wow’s (or should we say “Lil’ Bow Wow” for nostalgia’s sake?) claim to Columbus fame is weaker than a wet paper towel.

But Bell wasn’t done. He decided to critique Bow Wow’s entire career, saying it was stagnating.

“You need a reality check,” Bell scolded, sounding a bit like that annoyed high school teacher who grades on a curve. “Don’t talk about money, Bow Wow. Don’t do it. You had a nice little rap career, but that’s up in the air now. It’s gone.”

Oh, but it gets better! Bell then went on to remind everyone how he actually gives back to the Columbus community, pointing to the veritable gold mine of a turf football field he forked out a million bucks for. Meanwhile, Bow Wow’s contribution appears to be self-promotion and a series of declining music singles. Ouch!

Bell didn’t stop at throwing shade; he went full-on searchlight mode and touted other Columbus greats who surprisingly overshadow Bow Wow, including Olympic champion Simone Biles and boxing legend Buster Douglas. “You’re not bigger than Buster Douglas,” Bell emphasized. “That man knocked out Mike Tyson in his prime! You’re not on Simone Biles’ level either—her accolades speak for themselves!”

And just like that, the Twitter thunder rolled as Bell raised the question on everyone’s lips: What has Bow Wow actually done recently? After all, it’s hard to be “the biggest” when your last hot take was on how to remember the lyrics to your own 2000 hit.

As Twitter erupted over this epic verbal face-off, Bow Wow remained eerily silent. Will he muster a response or continue to let Bell’s barbs fester without engaging?

Only time will tell. Meanwhile, fans and critics are happily chewing on the drama, with popcorn in hand, eagerly debating who truly represents Columbus. For now, it seems like Bow Wow’s claim is about as tenable as his latest film role—lost in the ether, while Le’Veon Bell has every right to strut a little.
