*Listen! Every time I get into a big truck like this, I feel like I own the road. What a ride the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab is.
This vehicle is made for fun, off-roading, and adventure.
Sure it works for the day-to-day if you like a few head turns. But a driver can get their money’s worth in the dirt, literally… on a mountain and unpaved roads. Let’s get into it.
Check out the walk-around video via the above player.

Design & Features: A pick-up isn’t usually my go-to, being a city girl and all that. But this vehicle most certainly is a head-turner and brings out the boss chick in anyone. From the front to the tail, the design is bold with ridged edges, centering the masterful beehive grille. It sits up high, mounted upon 33-in. rugged-terrain tires and 18-in. wheels. Getting in and out, even for me, was a little bit of a challenge and I think it could use a cab sidestep.
Inside is a whole playground for the off-roader. Keeping up the rugged look of the interior, Toyota thought of everything from eight cupholders just in the front portion of the cabin to storage compartments in the most strategic places throughout. Everyone’s items can be secure on the roughest terrain.
Let’s talk about the seats. They hold you, like a glove. You feel loved on. Hugged. Embraced. I think these seats should be in every vehicle, though I was missing some adjustment features. But they’re made for the rough roads. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro features the first IsoDynamic Performance front seats, which use a shock absorber system to provide a smoother ride and maintain body stability on those rough roads. Drivers can adjust this for day-to-day driving as well.
Technology: I love the 14-inch multimedia touchscreen. I love the size, I love the position and I love its capabilities. I typically don’t enjoy a screen as big as this one, but it worked with the vehicle’s size and design. The 3D multi-terrain monitor makes parking and getting into and out of tight spaces easy. On the dash, drivers can monitor the vehicle’s performance and balance during off-roading adventures. Of course, I can’t help but mention the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.
Plenty of charging stations throughout the cabin. One design feature I appreciated most was the upright placement and lip to secure mobile devices on the wireless charging platform (see the video). This vehicle is teeming with fun tech features and thoughtful design features. Any driver might discover something new for months.
The Drive: When I see a big vehicle like this, the first thought is, “That’s a gas guzzler.” The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is not that! In fact, after a long drive, I was surprised to see I used very little gas. It features an i-FORCE MAX 2.4L turbocharged hybrid powertrain engine, giving drivers a powerful punch and a surprising fuel-efficient experience. Because this vehicle is made for fun, the drive isn’t smooth like an SUV, but it covers lots of ground quickly.
Overall, I loved this vehicle. It’s probably not practical for day-to-day driving, but it’s great for fun, style, and maybe a little work. Get more info here: 2025 Toyota Tacoma | Toyota.com
