*With every other headline highlighting the latest happenings of Sean “Diddy” Combs, it’s no surprise that folk are going over his past interviews with a fine-toothed comb for any hint of his controversial extracurricular activities.
Thanks to another resurfaced chat, we can see what happened when Combs was on Wendy Williams’ daytime TV talk show and her reaction when he brought up her 16-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr., Radar Online reports reaction to the interview was given without hesitation those who feel the “Bad Boy for Life” hitmaker was trying to intimidate the former radio fixture.
Promoting his 2017 documentary “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” Combs touched on his reasons for doing the film, telling Williams it wasn’t the money that motivated him to release it. Instead, he said he wanted to share a story “that had a happy ending” for African American men and women.
Once the audience gave a thumbs up to Combs via cheers of appreciation, Williams mentioned Kevin Jr. From there, the Combs set what was to come in motion, revealing he had met the teenager backstage before the interview.
“And let me tell you something, as the mother of a now 16-year-old…,” a clearly rattled Williams responded before Combs interrupted. “Mmm, who I met backstage, he’s a great young man,” he said, triggering Williams’ startled response.
Once the clip was put out there, the masses jumped on it with observations and opinions over how cagey the former daytime queen was when her son was mentioned by Combs.
“That was a threat, he’s saying play nice,” one person voiced, while another added: “The way that she hesitated, you know that she knew about him.”
The comments from the video watchers come amid very troubling times for Combs. The Bad Boy Records founder has been generating headlines regularly since word got out of his treatment of various women who have taken him to task over alleged sexual assaults, among other things.
Earlier this month, Combs was indicted for alleged sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution in New York, Radar noted, adding that the entertainer has also been accused of allowing underage guests at his notorious “freak off” parties.
Last week, singer Good Fridae opened up about Combs inviting her to a debauched bash when she was 16. The event, which was held inside a Toronto hotel, allegedly had teenagers who were lured to the X-rated parties with “drugs and candy.”
Fridaae revealed that security stepped in to stop her when she tried to leave.
“I went to go out of the main door and (the security guard) stopped me, she told the U.S. Sun. “He stood in front of the main door, grabbed my shoulders, and was like, ‘You’re not going anywhere.’
“I wanted to leave the party to find my friend, and because I felt very uncomfortable, with all these old men trying to touch me and get me to do things with them.”
Further weighing in on Williams’ interview with Combs, another person homed in on what Williams may have been thinking at that moment, saying, “It looks like her mind is quickly flipping through all the different horrifying things that could’ve happened backstage,” before someone else posted, “I can hear her internally screaming!”
So what say you? What do you think was on Wendy Williams’ mind when Diddy revealed he met her son before her interview with him?
