*Tyrese Gibson’s ex-wife is taking him back to court for unpaid child support.
According to RadarOnline, Samantha Lee filed for contempt of court against the “Fast and Furious” star, claiming he has defaulted on his court-ordered child support of $10,690 for their 4-year-old daughter, Soraya.
Lee’s motion asks not only for Gibson to be held in contempt but also for her attorney fees to be covered. She is also seeking interest on the unpaid portion of child support.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that Gibson wants his ex-wife to drop his last name after she blasted him for discussing their marriage during a podcast interview late last year.
Tyrese spoke about his divorce from Lee when he appeared on the Joe Budden Podcast. The ex-couple tied the knot in 2017 and announced their divorce in December 2020. During the Budden interview, Lee took issue with some of Gibson’s remarks and clapped back on Instagram, Complex reports.
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me,” Lee said in a video rant on social media. “You can learn a lot about people by how they respond/react to certain boundaries you set. The funny thing is, some people KNOW how they were doing you (probably worse than you even found out about in the moment) and yet you become the horrible person, the villain, in their story because you decided to set a boundary.”
Tyrese responded in an Instagram post, calling on Lee to change her last name.
“She wants to be famous, she wants the clout. She had a whole baby and faked a whole marriage to get the BAG. 3 law firms later. Just hear her out guys,” he wrote. “She hates my guts and yet her drivers license still says Gibson. Can you please run me my last name back? Soraya can keep it that our angel. Your trash ass birth name is Samantha Schwalenberg.”
