Police in Milwaukee Confirm Discovery of (Tomitka Stewart) Deceased Mother of 10 in Car Trunk – Suspect in Custody | VIDEO

*A man was apprehended by Milwaukee police after the discovery of a missing woman’s body in the trunk of a vehicle. Tomitka Stewart‘s tragic demise is believed to be linked to domestic violence.

“My momma been fighting for her life for a long time,” shared Lawrence Lejon-Jurnett, Stewart’s son, emotionally.

Lejon-Jurnett, 22, stood surrounded by loved ones at a candlelight vigil in front of his late mother’s residence, expressing, “You’re never supposed to hurt a woman.”

He grieved for the woman who was always there to support everyone else. In a heart-wrenching plea, he said, “If I could say something to my momma right now, I would say that, ‘I love you and I care about you, mom, and I want you back.’”

Stewart, 41, had last been seen near her home on Sunday. Her absence raised concern when calls went unanswered, according to WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee.

“I never would have thought that I would have to go to the police station and fill out a missing report,” Lejon-Jurnett shared.

On Wednesday, following a public appeal for information on the missing woman, Stewart’s body was found in the trunk of a vehicle near 29th Street and Ruby Avenue. A 41-year-old man was apprehended, with authorities linking Stewart’s death to domestic violence.

“He knows he was the wrong person to do that,” Lejon-Jurnett expressed. “He knows this won’t sit right with him at all.”

At the vigil, friends and coworkers remembered Stewart as a caring person and an exceptional leader.

“She’s literally the best general manager I’ve ever had in my life,” recalled Dylan Ristow, a former coworker. “She was very nice and understanding, always there for you. She was just one of those genuinely good people that are hard to find nowadays.”

Lejon-Jurnett, the eldest of Stewart’s 10 children, now carries a burden far beyond his years.

“I definitely have a lot of responsibility to my siblings because they are the youngest,” he stated. “I want to see them grow up and thrive.”

The suspect remains unnamed pending formal charges, with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office currently reviewing the case.
