The ILIFF and ILICFF, Sept 21 – 29, 2024, Accepting Submissions for Shorts from Filmmakers Around the World

Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival (open to young filmmakers) is accepting short films.

*Short films from filmmakers from around the world are now being accepted for the 8th annual Imagination Lunchbox international Film Festivals ILIFF and ILICFF at FilmFreeway.com. The Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festivals are to be held September 21 – 29, 2024 virtually (powered by Zoom) and at various locations in Maryland.

Admission is free for all activities that consist of the screening and awarding of shorts for both the Imagination Lunchbox International Film Fest and the Imagination Lunchbox International Children’s Film Fest; the Imagination Lunchbox/Eubie Blake Filmmaking Workshops presented in part by the Eubie Blake Cultural Center, the Imagination Lunchbox Basketball Tournament games, and the Imagination Lunchbox Virtual Open Call Auditions presented in part by the Vanguard Affinity Group and the Talent Concierge Artists Agency.

In the past, short films from the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Germany, Korea, Spain, and many more countries were screened and awarded. In the past public and private schools throughout Maryland have screened the films for their students in a cultural program. The film festivals, ILIFF and ILICFF, were founded by Anthony Michael Hobbs (www.ImaginationLunchbox.com), a SAG/AFTRA multi-award-winning actor (PBS, DreamWorks) and filmmaker (over 20 awards).

Four awards will be given – “Best Film,” “Best Film Made By Youth,” “Film Festival Choice,” and “Most Uplifting Film.” Submission deadlines are April 5th for early submission discounts, July 12 is the regular deadline, and August 9th is the deadline for late submission. Winners are notified by August 24, 2024.

The “Imagination Lunchbox International Children’s Film Fest” was launched in 2016 by Hobbs to give young filmmakers a platform to showcase their films and view other creative projects made for young filmmakers. The “Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival” was launched in 2023 to open his platform to all other filmmakers over 18 years old.
