*Raven-Symoné is grieving the loss of her father, Christopher B. Pearman, and shared the heartbreaking news in a touching social media post.
“My life has been long and abundant,” the “That’s So Raven” star posted on Instagram on Oct. 1, which featured a throwback photo of her as a child with her dad. “And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face…”
In the comment section, one person asked, “Are you saying your dad passed away???? He and I are friends on FB and we are very close and I need to know for real??????????”
Raven answered: “Yes ma’am.”
As E! News reports, she didn’t share any additional details about Christopher’s passing.
Pearman was instrumental in shaping Raven-Symoné’s career, transitioning from a media career to managing his daughter’s path to success. He even directed episodes of That’s So Raven in the early 2000s and created and directed the musical The Destiny of Rose.
His death comes nearly a year after Raven’s brother, Blaize Pearman, passed away at the age of 31 following a battle with colon cancer.
“He was battling colon cancer for about two years and he is in a better place now,” the actress shared in a Dec. 2023 Instagram post. “He’s loved and missed and the emotions that have been weaving in and out of my body and mind and family, have been a roller coaster.”
She added, “I love you, Blaize. His birthday is December 16 and forever will be. I love you, guys. My family on Instagram, my family at home and my family and friends. You guys have been such an amazing support system and I love you all.”
Raven-Symoné’s loved ones and peers have rallied around her, offering an outpouring of support and heartfelt condolences in the wake of Christopher’s passing.
“Saturday Night Live” star Kenan Thompson commented, “Condolences to you and your family!!! Sending love!!!!”
