*The “Double Cross” fifth season premiere kicked off on Jan. 18 on ALLBLK, and we caught up with series star Jeff Logan to discuss the series finale.

“After the shocking reveal of their true biological father in last season’s finale, the vigilante “Wonder Twins” are back with a vengeance,” per the official synopsis. “Ashley A. Williams and Jeff Logan reprise their roles as crime fighters Erica and Eric Cross, respectively, and continue their crusade against child trafficking, no matter the cost,” the description continued.

Logan adds: “This season, the Cross crew is faced with a case hitting extremely close to home when Eric’s newborn son is kidnapped. Meanwhile, the twins discover a bus with elementary school children has mysteriously vanished. With the stakes higher than ever, it will take a village to get everyone home safe.”

Notable guest stars this season include Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (Babylon) and Zimzon Zion (He’s For The Streets), who will join returning cast members Darrin Dewitt Henson (Stomp The Yard), Jasmine Brown (comedian and social media influencer), Judi Johnson (A Wesley Christmas), Redaric Williams (Zatima), Faith Malonte (A Rich Christmas), Candice Van Beauty (Christmas Déjà Vu), Cameo Sherrell (The Black Hamptons), and more.

Speaking to Urban Magazine last year, Williams explained how she has grown as an actor and in her personal life while working on the series.

“As an actor, you get to work with a multitude of different actors, different personalities, and people. It is a true testament to being able to stay focused, stay on top of your dialogue and on top of your scenes,” she said.

“It’s a great way to grow on set when you can get pulled in different directions, and you still must make sure that you come on and do what it is that you need to do,” Williams added. “That is a great lesson that I took into my actual life is; no matter what obstacles get thrown my way, just stay focused on the prize and go and get it done.”

Meanwhile, Logan recently explained to Rolling Out some of the most significant changes he’s experienced from season one to season five.

“The characters get to have depth to them,” he said.

“You get to see what makes them tick and why they do what they do. Then you get to connect certain things. You’re like, “He feels this way because it has happened. She’s like that because this happened in her childhood.” Then you get to kind of connect all these dots. Just like any show that has multiple seasons,” Logan continued. “As you progress, you get to connect dots and you figure stuff out on your own. Or you take guesses and you’re like, “I think he did it.” I would say it connects the dots and it answers those questions that anybody has.”

EUR’s Ny MaGee caught up with Logan to unpack the fifth and final season and discuss the emotions behind saying goodbye to his character. Watch our exclusive interview via the clip below.
