Greenie will be a pivotal character and upon arriving in Atlanta again, he is introduced as one of the first individuals Meech encounters. Smith described Greenie as a “multifaceted personality – a businessman, a club owner, a pimp, and an entrepreneur. Greenie’s allegiance can sway, depending on the circumstances, making him a character filled with nuances.”

Flenory is intimately familiar with the BMF story and shared what it’s like continuing to delve into his father’s back story and journey this season. As Meech, the character, navigates Atlanta alone, viewers will witness “his intelligence, dedication, and fearlessness.” Flenory highlighted that Meech’s journey is more personal this season, as he faces the challenges of earning respect in a new city without his family and familiar crew.

Trust becomes a central theme, as both characters grapple with establishing new relationships in an unfamiliar environment. Smith shared that Greenie’s initial respect for Meech comes from his audacity in setting up shop in a city dominated by established players. Flenory added, “Meech adopts a cautious approach, testing others to determine their loyalty and authenticity.”

Trust is something Meech struggled with. As Flenory explained, his character doesn’t easily trust others. “Meech tests people, demanding authenticity and loyalty, especially in a city where he is viewed as an outsider trying to seize control.”

The familial aspect of the series is explored, with Flenory shedding light on Meech’s challenging transition from his tight-knit family in Detroit to the uncertainties of building a new family in Atlanta. He’s deeply rooted in family values, faces emotional turmoil as he leaves loved ones behind to pursue his ambitions.

Catch the new season of the “BMF” saga when it premieres on Starz March 1.
