*Jay-Z and Beyoncé are said to be battling the blues amid a recent civil lawsuit accusing the rapper of rape.
“His name has been pulled into the Diddy drama from the beginning, so they knew something was going to happen. They just didn’t know when,” a source told US Weekly. “Jay-Z professed to Beyoncé that he’s innocent and it’s a total money grab.”
As we reported earlier, the new legal filing against JAY-Z links the hip-hop star to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ drug-fueled freak-off parties. Jay is taking legal action against attorney Tony Buzbee for allegedly pressuring potential clients to make false claims in lawsuits. Buzbee’s latest case alleges that the hip-hop star sexually assaulted a teenage girl at an afterparty in New York City following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. The lawsuit was originally filed in October, and initially included Combs as a defendant and referred to JAY-Z as “Celebrity A.” However, on December 8, the case was refiled to identify him as a defendant.
The 55-year-old father (real name Sean Carter) firmly rejected these claims.
Meanwhile, Combs was arrested in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy, 55, who is currently incarcerated at a Brooklyn jail, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A second insider told Us that Beyoncé is “putting on a brave face” for the sake of her three children.
“She is moving forward with her life, she is still committed to her scheduled performance in two weeks, and will be there for her family as much as she can,” the second source said, referring to the singer’s Cowboy Carter Christmas special. “She won’t let this bring her image down.”
A third source said that Beyoncé believes in Jay’s innocence.
“Beyoncé does not believe a word of what they’re saying,” the insider said.
