*Wyclef Jean is back home following an overnight stay at the hospital earlier this week. Through his Instagram post, the Haitian rapper informed his followers that he was undergoing medical treatment.
The rapper captioned a video of himself in a hospital gown, seated in a wheelchair, and said, “Sometimes we forget that our body is our temple. Be back soon.”
However, the former Fugees member didn’t explain further about his condition in his post – his state or cause of illness. But through an interview with TMZ, he said he experienced numbness on the right side of his face after returning to Los Angeles following a trip to Miami last weekend.
He immediately made an appointment with his family doctor, who sent him to the hospital.
The experts at the hospital did multiple medical tests on him, and the initial results showed that his facial numbness was a result of stress and exhaustion. The 53-year-old Grammy-winning hitmaker disclosed that he stayed at the hospital overnight before being released to return home to rest as he awaits more tests next week.

Last summer, the musician was appointed the chair of the music advisory board for the Harlem Festival of Culture. The latter is a reimagined version of the 1969 festival featured in ‘Summer of Soul’, an Oscar-winning 2021 documentary from Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson.
The award-winning rapper is responsible for advising festival leaders on crucial decisions. He is also tasked with helping to create support in the artist community – to support struggling artists and keep the community united.
The newly relaunched festival is set to take place during the summer.
