*TikTok user Starla Soloway went viral last month when she mocked Black women after getting braids. She was later forced to cut her long blonde hair after learning the hard way that some styles are not for all hair textures.
Soloway received heavy backlash when she posted a video of her getting braided up by a Black hairstylist. Many accused her of cultural appropriation, to which she said in a response video, “Kiss my white f-ing ass, b*tch.”
The Houston “model” accused her “bullies” of believing in “segregation.”
Meanwhile, the internet praised the braider for getting her money while knowing that the outcome could be disastrous.
Soloway posted a number of videos in which she clapped back at “haters” who blasted her for wearing the braided hairstyle as a white woman.

The ancestors must’ve felt some way about it, too, because Soloway later revealed that she had to cut her luxurious golden locks after taking out the braids.
Black social media was quite amused that her hair turned out to be a matted mess after the braid removal.

Several TikTok users mocked Soloway for not heeding warnings. “They told you!! Black women tried to warn you about what happens when you get styles that is not meant for YOUR HAIR TEXTURE,” one person said.
