*MGM has released the final trailer for the Tiffany Haddish-starring film “Landscape with Invisible Hand,” which sees Earth dominated by aliens and humans trying to adjust.
Haddish portrays Beth Campbell, a woman with an extraterrestrial as her “pretend husband” so it can be “immersed in the human culture.”
Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by M. T. Anderson, here’s the film synopsis: Years into a benevolent alien occupation of Earth, the human race is still adjusting to the new world order and its quirky coffee table-sized overlords called the Vuvv. Their flashy advanced technology initially held promise for global prosperity, but rendered most human jobs – and steady income – obsolete. When 17-year-old artist Adam Campbell and new girlfriend Chloe Marsh discover the Vuvv are particularly fascinated with human love and will pay for access to it, they decide to livestream their budding romance to make extra cash for themselves and their families. Life is good, for a while, until the flame of their teenage love fizzles out and they’re forced to make very different, absurdly life-altering sacrifices for their families.

The film’s cast also features William Jackson Harper, Brooklynn MacKinzie, Josh Hamilton, and Michael Gandolfini.
“Landscape with Invisible Hand” is in theaters Friday, August 18th.
Meanwhile, Haddish recently spoke out about her eight miscarriages and breakup with rapper/actor Common in a new interview with “The Washington Post.”
“It wasn’t mutual,” she told the publication. “It was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course.’ And I was like, ‘Okay. Like you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. Okay?’”
As we reported earlier, Haddish also described her relationship with the rapper/actor as “the healthiest, the funnest relationship I’ve ever had.”
In 2021, Common told Jason Lee on “Hollywood Unlocked” that he and Haddish made the “mutual” decision to break up, Complex reports.
That same year, Haddish also appeared on “Hollywood Unlocked” and admitted that although she missed Common, she was “fine” with the breakup.
