*Los Angeles, CA — Today, the soulful rising R&B singer-songwriter TA Thomas premiered his latest single and music video for “W.I.A. (Where I’m At),” the next iteration of the emotive journey and hot off his first single release, “June 15th,” that is TA’s debut solo project.
Told from the viewpoint of TA himself, the track and video portray the ongoing struggle within the relationship from the man’s point of view. Vividly in color, the video was directed by Robin Burke and serves as the next chapter of TA’s narrative, which will be carried throughout each video.
Says TA, “I wrote this song from the perspective of not being perfect. Some people fall in love and some GROW in love. It’s about the journey and not giving up.”
Hoping to inspire vulnerability in his listeners, TA’s debut project is a love letter to R&B and a fusion of classic and contemporary sounds that reflect his passion for the genre.

TA, a self-taught singer, musician, and performer, who learned to play piano in his community church, began his career as part of the RCA signed group, Next Town Down.
In early 2020, after geographically separating from Next Town Down, TA began to explore his own sound. Sharing covers consistently on social media, he built his personal following and presence, generating positive attention as he reached new audiences on the platforms. In 2022, he reconnected with Tre’von Waters of Next Town Down to write “Talm’ Bout’, for Chris Brown’s Breezy album, which earned TA his first Grammy Nomination. Since then, he’s been fine-tuning his sound and turning the page on a new chapter in his sonic journey.
