*Kandi Burruss responded to a review from popular TikTok food critic Keith Lee of her ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant.

The Old Lady Gang, located in downtown Atlanta, is owned by Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker. As Rolling Out reports, in a now-viral TikTok video, Lee explained why his visit to the eatery did not go well

“Yesterday, me and my family were at the One Music Festival. Somebody who worked with Kandi Burruss walked up to us and said they’ve been trying to reach us since we got to Atlanta. He said he’s been constantly emailing me and constantly DM’ing me for me to come to Old Lady Gang,” Lee explained, adding, “As you can see, I don’t have any bags in my hands.”

Lee and his family left the establishment before ordering food due to poor customer service.

“Me and my family showed up, and we attempted to order before we got here. We called the number they had connected on Yelp three times… no answer. We tried to order through DoorDash, but it said it was temporarily closed. When we pulled up, I sent my family in to order for us. They said on the weekends, due to being busy, they don’t do any takeout at all.”

Lee said his family was told there would be an hour wait for seating.

“My family asked how long the wait was to be seated. They said an hour to an hour and a half. She also said they didn’t have any reservations so they didn’t take down any number, any contact information, nothing. My family then came and relayed that message to me, and I decided to go in myself.”

Lee boasts 18 million followers on TikTok, and his food reviews quickly go viral. His family typically orders food in the restaurant while he remains in the car. According to Lee, the goal is to remain anonymous while he critiques the food. But when his family was disappointed about the wait time to eat at Kandi’s restaurants, he walked inside and was told he could be seated in five minutes.

“I then told her [I] changed my mind and we will go eat somewhere else. I said God Bless you, and I walked out,” Lee said in the video.

Burress caught wind of Lee’s remarks and said it was “unfortunate” that the restaurant was not able to serve his family. See her full video statement below:

Meanwhile, Lee has also reviewed The Real Milk & HoneyJuci Jerk, Atlanta Breakfast Club, and Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu. His reviews have been featured on major news programs, including Inside Edtion.

In an interview with TODAY.com, Lee explained his journey to becoming a viral sensation.

“It took two years to get to 1.6 million. It took three months to get to 11 million and within those three months, I started doing full reviews every day,” Lee said. “I’m a foodie. I think I brought back natural foodies in the space of food critics. Most of the critics are polished and they only go to certain restaurants and they go to certain spots. They only stay in a certain niche.”
