TikTok Food Critic Regrets Houston Hot Chicken Review | Watch

*TikToker Keith Lee is known for his food reviews but when he tried out Houston Hot Chicken, he instantly regretted it.

As The Blast reports, Lee had to sign a waiver before receiving his order, which included the eatery’s popular spicy tenders dubbed ‘Houston We Have a Problem’. The restaurant also supplied him with gloves to keep his hands from getting messy while eating and an ice cream beverage to cool down his mouth from the spiciness.

“I’ve been here before, but last time I got the second to spiciest tender. This time I got the spiciest,” Lee said in the video. “I got six tenders gradually going up in the heat.”

Lee noted that he was told, “The only thing that helps you is gonna be ice cream.”

“They marked the spice level, so I don’t get confused,” he said before starting with the mildest chicken tender.

“That’s mild?” he said, slightly confused. “That already has some spice on it, but it’s a good spice right now. It still got flavor. Flavor-wise, I like that better than the first one.”

He then moved on to the medium tender. “We’re already getting spicy. I can tell by looking at it,” he said. “I think I ate those backward because that’s not nearly as spicy as the mild.”

When he opened the last box of the spiciest tenders, Lee’s said “I’m genuinely starting to regret this.”

“That one got a good spice. It’s not; oh my god, it is. I was about to say it’s not crazy spicy, but the more it built, it’s very crazy,” he comments as he eats the chicken tender.

“I gotta let my mouth cool down before I go to that last one. My nose is starting to run, and it just keeps getting worse,” he continued while reaching for the ice cream drink. “It’s always been a dream of mine going on ‘Hot Ones,’ which is making me rethink that dream.”

“This is scorpion pepper and Carolina Reaper. I don’t even play with spice like that, so I never had either. I’ve heard horrible things about them, though.”
