*Two streaming giants may soon offer different versions of Wendy Williams’ life, but it remains uncertain whether the former talk show host will appear in either one.
Peacock and Netflix are reportedly developing separate documentaries about Williams, according to unnamed sources cited by The U.S. Sun. The outlet claims both services are working to finish their projects ahead of the other. Neither company has formally announced a documentary.
Peacock’s reported production is said to involve Suzanne Bass, a longtime executive producer on “The Wendy Williams Show.” Sources offered conflicting descriptions of how the project came together and whether Williams was expected to participate.
One insider claimed Bass secured the project after indicating Williams could become involved. That source alleged the two women later stopped communicating and said Williams is now too unwell to film.

Another person familiar with the production challenged that version of events. According to the second source, Peacock never approved the documentary based on the expectation that Williams would appear.
“Peacock was never promised Wendy; it wasn’t like they were told she would be part of the documentary, and then that didn’t happen,” the second insider claimed.
Information about the reported Netflix project remains limited.
The competing productions would arrive during a period of continued uncertainty surrounding Williams’ health condition. She remains under a court-appointed guardianship managed by Sabrina Morrissey. The former talk show host has been diagnosed with dementia, and The U.S. Sun previously reported that Williams also received a diagnosis involving alcohol-related brain damage.
Any new project would follow Lifetime’s controversial 2024 docuseries, “Where Is Wendy Williams?” The program captured Wendy during a period when she often appeared confused and impaired. Its portrayal prompted criticism over whether she was medically capable of consenting to the production.
