*Custody has emerged as the primary issue in the divorce between Tina Campbell and Glendon “Teddy” Campbell.
In her response to Teddy’s divorce petition, the Mary Mary singer asks the court to award her both legal and physical custody of the couple’s two teenage children, Santana, 13, and Glendon Theodore Campbell II, 16. She is not seeking to deny Teddy access to the children and instead supports a visitation arrangement, TMZ reports.
Teddy filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on April 13, 2026, citing irreconcilable differences. In his original petition, he requested parenting time with the children.
Tina’s filing also addresses the couple’s financial matters. She asks the court not to award spousal support to either party and states there are no marital assets or debts that require division. The court documents do not indicate whether the couple entered into a prenuptial agreement before marrying.

The estranged spouses also disagree on when their marriage officially ended. Tina identifies Aug. 8, 2024, as the date of separation, while Teddy’s filing lists June 2024. Although the difference is only about two months, the separation date can influence how courts evaluate financial obligations or property accumulated during a marriage.
The Campbells married in August 2000 and share four children, though only two are still minors. They also have adult daughters Laiah Simone and Meelah Jane. Teddy is also the father of Cierra from a previous relationship.
The latest filing does not necessarily signal a custody fight. If Tina and Teddy are unable to reach their own parenting agreement, a judge will determine custody based on what serves the children’s best interests.
The divorce follows years after the couple publicly worked through Teddy’s widely reported 2014 affair, which became part of the storyline on the WeTV reality series “Mary Mary.” While they ultimately reconciled after the scandal, the court filings show they are now focused on resolving the legal and parenting issues surrounding the end of their marriage.
