George Foreman and Khris Davis On ‘Big George Foreman’ | Watch

*Boxing legend George Foreman and actor Khris Davis sat down with EUR in anticipation of the biographical film “Big George Foreman,” releasing April 28.

The film chronicles the life and career of Foreman, the two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist. It highlights his rise to fame, fall from grace, and his eventual redemption through family and ministry. Davis plays the role of young George, bringing an electrifying performance that captures the essence of the boxing icon.

Foreman and Davis delve into their personal and professional lives, uncovering behind-the-scenes stories and insights about their experiences working on the film. Davis talks about his preparation for the role and his admiration for the man he portrays on screen.

“I had to get into fight shape,” said Davis. “And we treated it like it was a fight camp. Coach Dale Foster said, ‘Hey look, we’re not treating this like you’re training for a film. We’re going to treat it as though you’re training for a heavyweight title shot.’ So that alone tells you it was rigorous. I mean we trained for five to six hours, five days a week. Sometimes we’d be at the gym at three a.m.”

On November 5, 1994 George Foreman won the title for heavyweight boxing champion at the age of 45. It was a historic win in many ways as Foreman became boxing’s oldest heavyweight champion when he defeated 26-year-old Michael Moorer. Foreman speaks of the win as no easy feat.

“I didn’t think I could ever do it again but I had to get back in the gym, work out again, learn a new style…and what a journey. In the movie, Khris Davis brought it all out,” said Foreman.

“Big George Foreman” is directed by George Tillman Jr.
