*Cameron Diaz is finally addressing reports that Jamie Foxx was “difficult” to work with on the set of their Netflix comedy “Back in Action.”

Foxx suffered a medical emergency during the production of the action film and was hospitalized in April with a mysterious illness. After his release, Foxx spent several weeks at a Chicago-based rehab facility that specializes in strokes and traumatic brain injuries.

“I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time,” Diaz said recently on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, Complex reports.

“You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’ Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him and he’s just a professional on every level,” she added.

As People reports, Diaz said she “had a blast” filming “Back in Action” with Foxx, with whom she previously co-starred alongside in “Any Given Sunday” and “Annie.”

“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much,” Diaz said. “He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun.”

Meanwhile, we reported previously that insiders claim Foxx is still struggling seven months after his hospitalization.

“Jamie pulling out of another project has friends worried that he hasn’t recuperated as well as everyone thinks,” an insider told the National Enquirer, RadarOnline. “He’s struggling, but Jamie has been very private about what happened and his recovery.

Despite his eagerness to return to work, sources claim Foxx still needs more time to heal. The actor has not publicly disclosed details about his medical setback.

“In the end, Jamie wasn’t ready to add hosting a new game show to his schedule,” the Foxx insider told the Enquirer, Radar reports. “He’s being very careful regarding his health issues. He may not be at 100 percent, but the last thing he wants is to mess with the progress he has made.”

As Complex reports, Foxx spoke about his health scare earlier this month when he appeared at the Critics Choice Celebration of Cinema & Television event.

“I’ve been through some things,” Foxx told the audience. “You know, it’s crazy. I couldn’t do that six months ago. I couldn’t actually walk.”
