*The 76th annual Tony Awards were held Sunday with Ariana DeBose hosting the ceremony live from the United Palace Theatre in NYC.

As ET Online reports, a total of 27 new productions were nominated, with the musical adaptation of “Some Like It Hot” earning a total of 13. The most nominated revived musical was “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” with eight nods.

Alex Newell of “Shucked” made history as the first-ever “non-binary” person to win an acting award, ET reports.

“To my entire building and cast and crew of Shucked, you are my rock. I love you all. Thank you for seeing me, Broadway,” Newell said in an emotional acceptance speech. “I should not be up here. As a queer, nonbinary, fat, black little baby from Massachusetts. And to anyone that thinks that they can’t do it, I’m going to look you dead in your face and tell you that you can do anything you put your mind to.”
