Chadwick Boseman Candlelight Vigil Set for LA’s Leimert Park on Sat at 5pm

*Project Islamic Hope, a leading Los Angeles civil rights organization, will hold a Candlelight vigil in memory of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman who died Friday (08-28-20) at the age of 43 from cancer.

“Chadwick Boseman and his unforgettable portrayal in the film of the Marvel super hero “The Black Panther” was one of the most memorable and empowering movies for African Americans in the history of cinema.

“His tragic death has devastated us all especially young African American youth who looked at him as hero and role model. Our thoughts ,prayers and sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and thousands of fans across the world,” said Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope.
