*Vanessa Bryant is once again speaking out against online speculation surrounding her personal life. On Sunday night, she used Instagram Stories to dismiss rumors that she was either expecting a child or preparing to remarry years after the death of Kobe Bryant.
One of the posts she shared included a screenshot alleging she planned to remarry after inheriting half of Kobe’s fortune, while the remaining assets would go to their daughters. Bryant responded sarcastically to the conflicting claims circulating online. “Can you guys decide already,” Bryant wrote, per Complex. “Am I pregnant for the 100th time or am I getting remarried???”
She followed the post with another Instagram Story featuring a message associated with the Taurus zodiac sign. The quote focused on protecting personal peace and avoiding disruption from negativity or instability. “She is protective of her peace. She will not entertain chaos, inconsistency or anything that disrupts the life she is carefully building,” the post reads.
The latest response reflects a pattern Bryant has followed in recent years, as rumors about her personal life continue to resurface online. Last year, she addressed similar speculation while attending the US Open, sharing content from the tennis event that showed her drinking a cocktail, appearing to shut down claims that she was pregnant.
She has also pushed back against false narratives in the past, including AI-generated images and videos that wrongly linked her to Celtics star Jaylen Brown, fueling relationship rumors. The online speculation even extended to her daughter, Natalia, with false claims suggesting she had “disowned” her mother. Bryant responded on Instagram Stories, writing, “Weak people spread rumors. Stupid people believe them,” according to Essentially Sports.
The renewed attention comes shortly after a pair of emotional family milestones. April 18 marked what would have been Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s 25th wedding anniversary. The couple married in 2001 and remained together until Kobe died in 2020.
Earlier this month, Bryant also honored daughter Gianna Bryant on May 1, which would have marked her 20th birthday, writing: “Happy birthday to my sweet baby angel, Gianna. Words can’t express how much I love and miss you mamacita. Mommy loves you so much!”
Kobe and Gianna were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in 2020.
