*Reportedly, Donald Trump is the only sitting president who went out of his way to sit in on a Supreme Court hearing. Was his action intended to intimidate the justices that he self-appointed; or to influence the outcome as a whole in his favor to revoke the Fifteenth Amendment of the Constitution; or both? Either way, Black and Brown citizens should be concerned. In fact, every American citizen should be just as concerned about the aftermath of such a rollback.
Ratified in 1870 during the Reconstruction period that followed the Civil War, the Fifteenth Amendment was written in favor of Black suffrage, stating:
“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”
There’s a biblical story about a man who discovered a treasure in a field. He covered it up so no one else would find it; then went about purchasing the field so that he could claim the treasure:
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” Matthew 13:44

This seems to be Trump’s not-so-hidden agenda when it comes to voting rights, and birther rights (14th Amendment). He bought the presidency (the whole field) by offering his MAGA base white supremacy ideology. So, now that he “owns” the field, to the chagrin of his spineless, disinformed base, he’s revealing his true colors—Trump cares only about Trump!
After Trump’s tirade of expletives on social media on Easter Sunday (of all days), this should be a stark wakeup call to all MAGA supporters and Christian Nationalists who have likened him to God’s gift to the world, Jesus. How insulting!
America, let’s be reminded of Galations 2:14 where Apostle Paul admonished Apostle Peter (Cephus) for his hypocrisy stating: “But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?” NKJV
How can Americans compel democracy/Christianity upon others if they don’t practice it themselves?
