*President Donald Trump celebrated Easter Sunday the way only he can: by calling Iranian leaders “crazy bastards” and threatening to turn their country into hell.
On April 5 (2026), Trump took to Truth Social with a message that was short, profane, and impossible to ignore:
“Open the f***ing strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell — just watch.”
He wasn’t done. Trump warned thatTuesday would be “Power Plant Day” and “Bridge Day,” threatening to strike Iran’s electric generating plants, bridges, and other infrastructure if the critical Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
And then, for reasons only Trump can explain, he ended with: “Praise be to Allah.”
On Easter Sunday.
You can’t make this up.
Why the Strait of Hormuz Matters
This isn’t just trash talk. The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical chokepoints on the planet. Roughly 20% of the world’s oil passes through it daily. Iran has been restricting access amid the ongoing U.S.-Israel conflict with Tehran, and global oil prices are already feeling the squeeze.
Trump had previously given Iran deadlines — including one for April 7 — and floated the idea of letting other nations handle reopening the strait while the U.S. potentially backs away. But this latest post suggests patience has run out.
Or he was bored on Easter. Hard to tell anymore.
The Reactions: Unhinged or Unfiltered?
The internet, predictably, lost its collective mind.
Critics lined up to call the post “deranged,” “unhinged,” and proof of mental instability. Bernie Sanders reportedly questioned Trump’s fitness for office, calling the message “the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual.” Iranian officials dismissed it as “desperate insults and nonsense.”
Supporters saw something else: strength. They loved the blunt, no-nonsense tone. Comparisons to Reagan’s “tear down this wall” popped up. Others just laughed. “I’m lovin’ it ?,” one comment read.
And then there were the confused. The “Praise be to Allah” sign-off on Easter Sunday — while threatening to bomb bridges — left even neutral observers scratching their heads.

What Happens Tuesday?
As of now, Iran hasn’t officially responded. But Trump has set a clock. Tuesday is “Power Plant Day.” Whether that means actual strikes or more Truth Social theatrics remains to be seen.
One thing’s certain: the Strait of Hormuz isn’t open yet. And the guy with the nuclear codes just called someone a “crazy bastard” on a religious holiday.
God help us all.
