*Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter, the 2025 NFL Draft’s No. 2 pick and Heisman Trophy winner, tied the knot with Leanna De La Fuente on May 24 in a private ceremony at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tennessee.
The couple, who met in 2022 at Collins Hill High School and got engaged in February 2024, marked their union with a luxurious event attended by family, friends, and notable guests like rap icon Lil Wayne, as reported by Athlon Sports.
During the reception, Hunter surprised his bride with a black Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, valued at over $700,000.
Leanna previously admitted in a viral video that Hunter “wasn’t my type” when he initially hit up her Instagram DM. “I just didn’t respond to him,” she said. After months of persistence, she eventually came around, but their journey hasn’t been without challenges.
The couple faced online scrutiny, particularly after Leanna’s demeanor at Hunter’s Heisman ceremony sparked unwarranted criticism. Hunter defended her fiercely on a Twitch stream, saying, “Y’all hate on me, then you go hate on my girl. I feel t he same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable. If she’s hurting, I’m hurting.”
