*A deadly weekend in Chicago has left two members of the city’s rap community dead, including Lil Durk’s longtime associate THF BayZoo.
Authorities confirmed that BayZoo, whose real name was Devonsha Collier, 35, was shot several times while purchasing auto parts in the Little Village neighborhood around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. The attack occurred when two armed men approached BayZoo and his two bodyguards and opened fire. Both guards were injured but are expected to make a full recovery. A video of the shooting quickly circulated online, and BayZoo later died at the hospital.
BayZoo’s wife, Tiffany, confirmed his passing on Instagram. His death comes nine years after her 14-year-old son, Raheem Dameron, was fatally shot by a man the teen had allegedly attempted to kill a week earlier, per SandraRose.com.

Two days after BayZoo’s slaying, 26-year-old rapper Arianna Bosney—known to fans as “G Ari”—was shot multiple times while sitting in her car at a stoplight in Chicago. SandraRose.com reports that her young son was in the vehicle at the time but was unharmed. The boy’s father remains incarcerated on multiple murder convictions. Bloggers have speculated that her death may have been in retaliation for allegedly sharing BayZoo’s location at the auto parts yard.
BayZoo previously faced serious legal trouble. He was charged in connection with the 2009 murder of 21-year-old Dominic Barnes but was later acquitted by a Cook County jury in 2017. In 2018, BayZoo and the late rapper King Von released the music video “Beat That Body,” celebrating their acquittals on murder charges.
In October 2024, Lil Durk and several associates were arrested in connection with a 2022 shooting targeting rival rapper Quando Rondo, which resulted in the death of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pabb” Robinson. Lil Durk faced charges including conspiracy, using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and using and possessing firearms in a violent crime that led to a fatality. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Lil Durk is currently being held at the MDC Los Angeles detention center while awaiting trial, which, according to reports, has been postponed to January 2026.
