
*Talay Riley, the British-Nigerian singer-songwriter and Grammy-winning music creator whose credits included work with Khalid, H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Usher, Britney Spears, and Chip, was killed in a stabbing in East London on June 5. He was 35.
According to the Metropolitan Police, officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 9 a.m. on Pankhurst Avenue in Silvertown and discovered a 35-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds in the garden of a nearby property on Rayleigh Road. Riley was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
A second man was also injured during the incident and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police Investigation Continues
The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Riley’s death.
Three people were initially arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident. Authorities later released at least two of those individuals without charge while inquiries continue.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses, CCTV footage, and dashcam recordings from the area during the morning of June 5.
