*After two decades of marriage, New Edition’s Ricky Bell and his wife, Amy Correa Bell, have embarked on their most exciting journey yet–parenthood. On Father’s Day, the couple shared the heartwarming news of their first child’s arrival, a moment they’ve long awaited.
As Ice Cream Convos reports, Ricky announced the birth with a touching black-and-white Instagram photo of their newborn’s tiny feet resting in his hands. His caption read: “Been looking forward to celebrating this day, God’s ‘Mercy’ has arrived… Happy Father’s Day!”
The couple first revealed their pregnancy in early 2025, posting a set of charming photos captioned “Reservation for 3 .” The images captured Amy, 42, glowing with her baby bump in a crop top, alongside Ricky as they strolled together and posed in a vintage convertible. Amy’s post reflected on their journey, captioned simply, “Past, present and the future.”
This new chapter comes after years of dedication to their relationship. Married for 20 years, Ricky and Amy have faced challenges with unwavering commitment. “We promised each other that breaking up is not an option,” Ricky once shared.
“So whatever little bit of faith we can muster up—whatever trust—we do it.” Amy echoed this sentiment, noting, “Since all of our challenges, I think we’re more in love and united now than we’ve ever been.”

Years earlier, in a 2018 VladTV interview, the couple discussed their hopes for children. Amy highlighted Ricky’s demanding tour schedule, saying, “This guy is on tour year round,” while Ricky added, “And it just hasn’t happened for whatever reason, but we’re actually going to plan it at the end of this tour.”
Their patience and planning have now culminated in this joyous moment.
