*“Power Book IV: Force” season three arrives Friday, November 7, exclusively on STARZ and its streaming platforms. The new season raises the stakes for Tommy Egan and Diamond Sampson as shifting alliances and rising threats squeeze their partnership from every angle.
Speaking with Joseph Sikora and Isaac Keys, both actors emphasized how internal fractures and outside pressure push their characters into their most volatile chapter yet. Asked about the biggest test facing Tommy and Diamond’s bond this season, Sikora pointed directly to the tensions surrounding Jenard.
“I think it’s certainly the obvious one. And that is Jenard. Jenard is just standing in Tommy’s view of progress in the same way, and inversely in a lot of ways, the same way that Diamond views Tommy is holding back the progress because he isn’t all in for the coalition, that he’s making moves behind Diamond’s back,” he said.
Sikora added, “Diamond’s had about enough of it. But it seems to him that Jannard is keeping it real with him. And Jenard has been, you know, stepping side by side.”
Sikora noted that Jenard’s discipline could tip the scales dramatically. “Now, if Jenard can stay on the straight and narrow, I think that’s curtains for Tommy,” he said. “But I think Tommy’s always got that one step ahead mentality, at least right now, where he’s putting these things in play, which may come to fruition if we are watching nice and closely in the latter episodes of the season, where Diamond will realize that what Tommy’s doing is something possibly even bigger.”
Keys viewed the central struggle through a thematic lens.
“I think control… everybody’s trying to find something like control, whether it’s the dynamic between Jenard and Shanti,” he explained. Keys continued, “You still have the control of where Diamond and Tommy are both trying to control Vic. More Tommy controlling Vic than Diamond is. Diamond wants Vic to be off.” He added that Diamond’s instincts clash with his loyalty, saying, “Diamond likes to get rid of the problems most of the time, except for his brother.”
According to Keys, this ongoing strain defines Diamond’s arc.
“That brother relationship has been a thorn in Tommy’s side since season one,” he said. Keys explained that the season tests how far Diamond can be pushed: “It’s about trying to see the control aspect and just how it’s going to play out and who’s going to get fed up first and who’s going to act upon being fed up in the situation.”

Keys confirmed fans will see a more volatile side of Diamond as the pressure escalates.
“I want Diamond to be able to give that to the fans because that’s what they’ve been waiting for,” he said. He pointed to earlier hints of Diamond’s breaking point: “You saw that from season two, just for the parole officer scene… and then the husband to his love interest he was trying to pursue.” Keys teased the escalation ahead, adding, “In season three, it’s like… what is he going to do next? And what level does he do it on?”
Reflecting on Tommy’s long journey from “Power” to “Force,” Sikora said his character’s fate remains far from certain.
“Man, it’s hard. I mean, I certainly can’t guarantee that he makes it out of the season, but I will say that all things are as they should be by the end of this third season,” he said. Sikora emphasized the unpredictable nature of the franchise’s interconnected world: “So there’s always a possibility in any of these worlds where people are still around or how to interpret that or where to go with this.”
Sikora promised fans a gripping and layered season ahead.
“But I will say that the fans will be satiated. That is an incredibly exciting third season,” he said. “They painted Chicago correctly. Everything is duplicity. There’s a million different spider webs and breaks and cracks in this windshield. So the audience is going to be on the edge of their seat for this entire ride.”
“Power Book IV: Force” season three will premiere on Friday, November 7. New episodes will be available weekly on Fridays on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming platforms, and on-demand services. The series also features Kris D. Lofton, Manuel Eduardo Ramirez, Carmela Zumbado, Adrienne Walker, Shane Harper, Miriam A. Hyman, Anthony Fleming III, and Lucien Cambric.
