*Porsha Williams may be a lot of things, but LGBTQIA+ is not one of them.
Without solid confirmation from the woman herself, it’s all just speculation. Unless you ask Williams fellow “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” castmate Kandi Burruss.
According to LoveBScott, Williams’s sexuality is the hot topic amid rumor she’s attracted to the e same sex. The talk stems from a “rap-gate” moment on RHOA between Burruss and Williams. During the moment, the Xscape member shocked her castmates and viewers when alleging that Williams propositioned her during a late-night glamping trip. Burruss went on to mention that Williams suggested they “get busy” on the dance floor, going so far as to put it out there that that Williams becomes an “aggressive lesbian” when she’s had a few drinks.
The encounter has more than raised an eyebrow with fans who wonder if what was put out there is actually true.
It didn’t take long before the speculation got to Williams who set the record straight about her LGBTQIA+ identity. To hear her tell it, she is not a lesbian.

Burruss’ suggestion that Williams is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community was met with a denial from the GoNaked Hair founder. According to Williams, Burruss’ comment was just “shade.” Labeling it her “personal business,” Williams also deaded talk of her trying to have sex with Burruss.
At that point, accusations of Burruss being a hypocrite came out from Williams, who put the mirror to her fellow RHOA’er’ sown past flirtations and threesomes as proof that the “confession” cut both ways.
News of the sexuality rumors about Williams come after she finalized her divorce from businessman Simon Guobadia in June. Williams shared her thoughts on the split in her first post-divorce People magazine cover story, labeling the parting a “nightmare.” Trust issues and legal battles over Guobadia ’s immigration status as the breaking point, she mentioned.
Once she confessed that her priority is in healing and self-discovery, the feedback went there as some took Williams’s “self-discovery” talk as a potential hint that she might consider going outside the traditional male–female dynamic for dating.
“It’s lonely. I can’t connect with other men,” Williams told People. “You would think I’m dating already and stuff, right? People try to introduce me. But it’s just… when it’s not the same, it’s not the same.”
As it stands now, there hasn’t been any public declaration from Williams that she’s a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, nor any label that she has adopted.
Coming out was not the focus of Williams’ statements, LoveBScott noted, adding that the focus was centered around healing, self-care, and co-parenting. Research her public relationships and social media and heterosexual is the suggested direction of her sexuality.
Yet the rumors keep coming, despite Williams denying she was a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
A 2017 TMZ interview is what some lean on to justify those LGBTQIA+ claims. The chat captures Burruss calling Williams a “self-hating hypocrite” for once condemning gays in a church sermon — and then allegedly hooking up with women herself.
“I feel like she’s had her own experiences with women, so she should not have anything to say about anyone else,” Burruss said. “I think the problem is that some people are not comfortable with themselves. And so they have a lot of negative things and hate to spread about others, and that’s when it’s not cool. If you are comfortable with yourself, you just shouldn’t say anything.”
