*Pinky Cole is taking her fight to bankruptcy court after a creditor allegedly seized one of her investment properties and locked her out without legal justification.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” newcomer claims Guardian Asset Management took over a Loganville, Georgia residence following her Chapter 11 filing, posting a notice on the window and restricting her access to the home entirely, TMZ reports.
The disputed property is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom, 2,814-square-foot house situated an hour outside of Atlanta. Cole argues the takeover is causing “extreme financial harm,” as she was in the process of securing a renter whose lease was set to begin April 1. Speaking to TMZ, Cole’s attorney, Jamie Christy, stated, “This was an investment property that was unlawfully seized from Ms. Cole. This unlawful seizure violated the automatic stay imposed in Ms. Cole’s bankruptcy case.”
The Chapter 11 filing came on February 12, following an earlier attempt at Chapter 13 protection in January that Cole ultimately withdrew. Financial records place her current disclosed obligations at $1.4 million — the bulk of which stems from a U.S. Small Business Administration loan, with a separate balance of nearly $200,000 owed to the Georgia Department of Revenue. Her financial challenges run deeper than the current filing suggests. Prior to Slutty Vegan’s 2025 restructuring, Cole faced debts approaching $20 million, a burden that swelled in part while she was away from the day-to-day operations of her company.
Cole built Slutty Vegan from a single food truck concept she launched in 2018 into a widely recognized restaurant brand with locations throughout Atlanta and additional markets. The brand has faced significant headwinds in recent years, with multiple outposts shutting down and a pair of Atlanta landlords pursuing nearly $87,000 in unpaid rent through the courts.
Cole addressed the emotional weight of the past several months in a candid Instagram video. “The last couple of months, it’s probably been the most incredibly difficult of my entrepreneurial life,” she said. She went on to add, “What a lot of us entrepreneurs go through, I have gone through. But I realized that as long as I continue to stick to my faith, God will always be by my side. And as hard as change is, it is necessary, but it’s always for the good.”
