NBA YoungBoy says Trump is that guy—yes, seriously
*NBA YoungBoy has entered his political era, and the results are already causing social media meltdowns. The rapper—fresh off a headline-making Complex interview—declared his love for President Donald Trump with the kind of conviction usually reserved for mixtape drops and Instagram rants.
“Follow whatever Trump applying in every way. Enforce whatever Trump’s applying. That’s it,” he said, offering a political platform as deep as a kiddie pool. This came while explaining the meaning behind his not-so-subtle album title, Make America Slime Again.
Trump got him out of jail, now he’s MAGA forever
In case you missed it: Trump pardoned YoungBoy in May 2025 after the rapper was jailed for pretending to be a pharmacist to score drugs while on house arrest. (Yes, that’s a real sentence.) Apparently, that presidential “get out of jail free” card hit different.
While YoungBoy insists his support isn’t because of the pardon, his track “XXX” suggests otherwise: “Whatever Trump doin’, b–h it’s good for the youngn’s (All Hail Trump).” Subtle.

Complex crowns him “Best Rapper Alive,” internet crowns him… something else
Complex recently anointed YoungBoy as the Best Rapper Alive. That’s probably why he feels comfortable moonwalking into politics with zero hesitation. And yes, people are now comparing him to Michael Jackson. It’s been a strange year.
“He’s good for the youngn’s,” YoungBoy said, confirming that he now apparently moonlights as a political commentator in between sold-out tour stops and viral mugshots. Somewhere, C-SPAN is shaking.
The internet responds like only the internet can
Over on SandraRose.com, the comments section turned into a full roast session. Highlights include questions like why a grown man pushing 30 still calls himself “YoungBoy,” and whether this is all just a long-lost audition for “R. Kelly: The Sequel.”
Another commenter referred to him as “NBA Yung Raccoon,” adding, “These rapping raccoons have no integrity and are often used to destroy the community.” Subtlety? Never heard of her.

Is this a political endorsement or a reality show?
At this point, it’s hard to tell if YoungBoy is trying to get a Cabinet position or launch a reality show titled Slime House. Either way, his endorsement has made waves across hip-hop, MAGA Twitter, and everyone caught in between who just wanted to stream music without political plot twists.
Whether this is loyalty, trolling, or something in between, YoungBoy’s Trump moment is locked in—and yes, it’s messy. Just the way the internet likes it.
Why this NBA YoungBoy Trump moment broke the timeline
Celebrity endorsements aren’t new. But a rapper known for breaking the internet, breaking house arrest, and breaking into the pharmacy lane supporting Trump? That’s the kind of 2026 energy no one saw coming—and yet, here we are.
So if you’re wondering how the election season could get weirder, don’t. We’re already there. And apparently, Trump is “good for the youngn’s.” Who knew?
