*Million Dollar Spaghetti lives up to its name. This baked casserole layers tender pasta with a savory meat sauce and a creamy blend of cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream — all topped with melted sharp Cheddar. It comes together with simple ingredients and feeds a crowd of eight, making it a go-to for weeknight dinners and gatherings alike.
“The cream cheese brings out a rich and creamy flavor while the pasta sauce gives it a real zing,” according to Lucky. “One thing I did differently is that I mixed my pasta noodles in with the cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream. This is a delightful dish that can feed a small family or a large gathering! It’s definitely my go-to meal!”
Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 16 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 cup butter, sliced and divided
- 8 ounces cottage cheese
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 8 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps
- Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef until browned and crumbly, 5 to 6 minutes. Drain and discard the grease.
- Transfer the browned beef to a bowl and mix in the spaghetti sauce. Set aside.
- Place half of the butter slices into the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish. Spread half of the cooked spaghetti evenly over the butter.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream together until combined. Spread the mixture evenly over the spaghetti layer.
- Cover the cheese mixture with the remaining spaghetti and top with the remaining butter slices.
- Pour the ground beef mixture over the top layer of spaghetti and spread into an even layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Spread Cheddar cheese on top and continue baking until the cheese has melted and is lightly browned, about 15 minutes more.
- Enjoy!
