*Fox is continuing to build the cast for its upcoming drama “The Interrogator,” adding Michael Beach as a series regular opposite Stephen Fry. The project, produced by Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment, already secured a 12-episode straight-to-series commitment for the 2026-27 television season, Deadline reports.
The series centers on Conrad Henry, a former MI6 operative played by Fry, who leads a specialized team tasked with extracting information from some of the world’s most dangerous criminals. According to the show’s premise, Henry relies less on traditional interrogation tactics and more on psychological manipulation and unconventional behavioral strategies when handling high-risk suspects.
Beach will portray Louis, described as the first and most trusted member of Henry’s inner circle. The character combines technical expertise with emotional steadiness, serving as both the team’s IT and audiovisual specialist while also assisting with electronics, explosives, and various operational problems.
Beyond his technical role, Louis is positioned as one of the emotional anchors of the series. The character is portrayed as someone with a difficult history hidden beneath a calm and approachable personality, while also acting as Henry’s closest confidant and moral compass. The two men share a deep personal bond rooted in having “been each other’s saviors.”

Development on the series has involved several notable creative names. Fry wrote the pilot script, with later revisions handled by Matt Pyken and William Harper. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie will oversee the project as executive producers and showrunners. Fry is also attached as an executive producer alongside Paul McGuigan, who is set to direct. Additional executive producers include Anthony Bregman, Miriam Mintz, Matt Pyken, Neil Burger, and Anonymous Content.
“The Interrogator” is scheduled to debut as part of Fox’s 2026-27 lineup.
