
*Marvel Television and Marvel Animation took center stage at New York Comic Con 2025, presenting a first look at several highly anticipated Disney+ series. The event was hosted by Phase Hero’s Brandon Davis and Head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation Brad Winderbaum, who were joined by stars and creators from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, per the news release.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley appeared to showcase “Wonder Man,” an eight-episode series offering a behind-the-scenes look at a superhero movie remake. The actors discussed collaborating with director Destin Daniel Cretton and filming in Los Angeles before premiering the first trailer. “Wonder Man” is set to debut on Disney+ on January 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Pacific. The spotlight then turned to “Daredevil: Born Again” as Charlie Cox shared insight into Matt Murdock’s story in the show’s second season. Fans were surprised when Krysten Ritter joined the stage, marking her return as Jessica Jones six years after her solo series concluded. The cast presented a preview of the new season, arriving on Disney+ in March 2026, and confirmed that Season 3 is already in development.

Winderbaum later returned with a major reveal for “VisionQuest,” described as the final chapter in the trilogy that began with “WandaVision” and continued with “Agatha All Along.” Paul Bettany appeared to discuss reuniting with James Spader’s Ultron, followed by an exclusive look at the 2026 release.
Marvel Animation also made several announcements, beginning with “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” Season 2, slated for Fall 2026. Winderbaum teased that the new season would explore deeper elements of Spider-Man lore, including a mysterious sentient black goo that thrilled fans in attendance.
Finally, Winderbaum was joined by Eric and Julia Lewald, the original creators of “X-Men: The Animated Series,” to discuss “X-Men ‘97” Season 2. Alongside returning director Larry Houston, the trio will serve as Executive Producers. They previewed footage from the new season, coming to Disney+ in Summer 2026.
Marvel’s expansive presentation at NYCC 2025 highlighted the studio’s continued investment in its Disney+ storytelling universe, offering fans an early glimpse at the next phase of its television legacy.
