*Katt Williams is making his literary debut with his upcoming memoir, “Nine Lives, No Wives, and 69 Concubines,” confirming the book will arrive on October 20.
Williams shared the book cover in a promotional video on Instagram, telling fans “Please preorder my book. Before it even comes out, just say you want it. Even if you can’t read, get my book.”
He described the memoir as “one of the greatest books ever written” and suggested readers might want to place it alongside sacred texts like the Bible and the Quran. Framing his life story as something far beyond a typical celebrity biography, he said, “Everyone loves a superhero story. This is the story of a superhero without powers.”

Published by Gallery Books and 13a, the book offers an unfiltered account of Williams’ path from hardship to Hollywood. According to its synopsis, he will take readers on “a wild ride from homelessness to Hollywood, revealing the resilience, faith, and unapologetic humor that define his iconic career.” NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal contributed the foreword.
Among the stories included is the time Williams hitchhiked to Florida after parting ways with his “devout Jehovah’s Witness parents,” along with his grind through various odd jobs before rising as a “five-foot-five giant of comedy.” The memoir also confronts his public controversies head-on. “He addresses the headlines head-on, sets the record straight on his legal battles, while sharing what it really means to survive Hollywood without losing ownership of your money, your voice, or your peace,” the synopsis states.
“Katt also reveals the quieter side of the man behind the mic: thoughtful, spiritually grounded, and deeply committed to fatherhood,” per the description.
“Nine Lives, No Wives, and 69 Concubines” is available for preorder through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and other major retailers.
