*Despite settling their divorce in 2024, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai are still at war.
The Blast reports the “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation” rapper is taking Mai to task for legal expenses related to fighting accusations she made against him during their time in court.
During that time, Jeezy made serious accusations against Mai, whose actions he labeled as “nefarious.” Amid claims she acted in bad faith. Details surrounding the divorce settlement, which happened in June 2024, have been completely sealed from public access.
As a result of the ordeal, Jeezy filed a motion on March 14 after Mai accused him of being in contempt of their divorce agreement. The entertainer is seeking $20,000 from Mai to cover the legal fees he claims he racked up due to “The Talk” co-host’s “frivolous” accusations.
Jeezy denied Main’s contempt allegations and disputed her lease agreements regarding rent reimbursements, claiming they were unverifiable. Although he tried to obtain information from Mai’s bank through a subpoena, she contested the action.

Jeezy furthered his legal beef against Mai, accusing her of leaking her contempt petition to the media to publicly undermine and disgrace him, a tactic he claims she used throughout their divorce.
Jeezy’s lawyer defended his client’s offense against May, according to In Touch, which noted him recognizing Jeezy and Mai as public figures. Yet Jeezy worked consistently to resolve their issues amicably and privately, prioritizing the well-being of their minor child.
“However, since the filing of this action, [Jeezy] has been forced to defend himself against frivolous claims and the intentional public attempt to dismantle [Jeezy’s] name, brand and reputation continued throughout this case,” his attorney stated.
Commenting further, Jeezy’s attorney claimed Mai is torn between her determination to get every cent of financial support from him her intent to undermine the rhymesayer’s income potential by wearing away the goodwill he has gained from the public over the years, going as far as prior to the start of their relationship. This conflict, the attorney believes, ultimately influences Mai’s complex motivations and goals in her current situation with Jeezy.
Regarding the contempt petition, Jeezy accused Mai of filing it “in a concerted effort to negatively inflame the public’s opinion” of him,” according to The Blast. Allegations he failed to make necessary payments, set up an account for their daughter, or intentionally withheld the titles to certain cars were denied by the “Put On” hitmaker.
Jeezy went on to cite an incident involving a Bronco that was damaged when a tree fell on it. He is currently in discussions with the insurance company regarding this incident, which resulted in the vehicle being classified as a total loss.
For Jeezy, the situation with the Bronco is proof of not being in willful contempt of court. As a result, he believes Mai should reimburse him $19,839.81, the amount he owes his lawyers for their work on the contempt case.
From Mai’s side, there is plenty of blame to direct at her ex-husband. Particularly when it comes to Jeezy denying her access to his property to retrieve her personal belongings. The situation with her getting her stuff back goes back to when she arrived at Jeezy’s mansion with movers on December 9, 2024, It was then the rapper’s house manager prevented them from entering the residence per the rap star’s orders.
“In fact, the house manager called [Jeezy], who again confirmed that [Jeannie] and her movers were not to access her items, disregarding the court order entirely,” Mai’s legal team shared, while emphasizing their client did not intend to invade Jeezy’s privacy or use recording devices; her sole aim was to ensure her personal items were collected.
Taking things a step further, Mai acted on Jeezy’s refusal, with getting the Atlanta Police Department involved to document the situation. From her perspective, the refusal appeared to be a violation of a court order. Mai’s lawyers explained the police were not called to escalate the situation. Instead, they said authorities were there to provide an official report of Mai’s denial in retrieving her belongings.
