*Rapper Chopper, a.k.a. Young City, claims that Fonzworth Bentley, Diddy’s former assistant, had a reputation for stealing, possibly due to financial struggles from being underpaid by the Bad Boy Records founder.
During an appearance on The Art Of Dialogue, Chopper recounted his experiences with Bentley during his time in Da Band, the group formed on MTV’s Making the Band. While he initially liked Bentley, Chopper later realized Fonzworth allegedly had a habit of taking others’ valuables.
“In the beginning, I thought Mr. Bentley was the coolest person in the world. I’m talking about the coolest person in the world,” Chopper explained. “And then eventually, Bentley started stealing.”
Chopper drops a bombshell in the discussion, recalling how Fonzworth stole his $70,000 chain and refused to return it when confronted.
“I asked him could he hold my chain [because] we had a show and he was like, ‘Yeah, I got you.’ And then he never quite gave me back my chain,” he said. “And then every time I’d ask him, he always came up with beaucoup excuses of why I can’t get my chain.”

“Ever since then, I knew right then and there what kind of dude Mr. Bentley was,” Chopper added.
“Mr. Bentley is a f**king thief. Period. And that was his reputation too around there. Everybody knew Mr. Bentley was a thief. He used to steal sh*t,” the New Orleans native continued.
“Maybe he was stealing sh*t because Diddy probably wasn’t compensating him—embarrassing the man on national TV and not really paying him what he needed to pay him,” he said. “I don’t think Diddy had no respect for Mr. Bentley. None.”
