*Marvel Animation’s “Eyes of Wakanda,” a thrilling new series, arrives on Disney+ on August 1, 2025, earlier than expected after its reveal at the Annecy International Animation Festival.
This four-episode action-adventure, produced with Proximity Media’s Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Kalia King, dives into Wakanda’s rich history through the lens of its fearless warriors.
The series follows the Hatut Zaraze, elite Wakandan fighters tasked with retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts across time and continents. Directed by Todd Harris, a seasoned collaborator of Ryan Coogler with credits on “Black Panther” and “John Wick,” the show boasts a stellar voice cast including Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Lynn Whitfield, and Anika Noni Rose.
“Eyes of Wakanda is an MCU show,” said Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, to ComicBook. “This is the history of Wakanda as told through the War Dogs, and it is some of the best animation we’ve ever done. Todd Harris is the creator of that one. That’s just such a cool show.”

Executive producers include Coogler, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt.
As the first series in the MCU’s Phase Six, “Eyes of Wakanda” promises a globe-spanning narrative filled with high-stakes missions and vibrant animation. The logline states: “Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.”
The trailer offers a glimpse into the stunning visuals and dynamic storytelling. With its blend of historical depth and action-packed adventure, “Eyes of Wakanda” is set to captivate MCU fans and newcomers alike on Disney+.
