*HBO has confirmed that the third season of “Euphoria” will premiere in April 2026, though a release date has not yet been revealed.
As TheWrap reports, series creator Sam Levinson shared that Season 3 takes place five years after the events of Season 2. “We basically pick up Rue south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off,” he said, adding, “if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time.”
The season also follows Cassie and Nate engaged in the suburbs, Jules at art school, and Maddy pursuing a career in Hollywood. Sharon Stone joins the season as a guest star, with Lexi stepping into a new role as her assistant.

Returning cast members include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, while Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, and the late Angus Cloud will not return. A wide array of new actors join the cast, such as Bella Podaras, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Natasha Lyonne, and Rosalía.
The upcoming season has also been surrounded by off-screen tension, reportedly between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. Sources told Daily Mail that Zendaya has been avoiding public appearances with Sweeney due to backlash over Sweeney’s American Eagle campaign, which faced criticism for promoting white supremacy. Sweeney commented on the controversy in a GQ interview: “I did a jean ad… I mean, the reaction definitely was a surprise, but I love jeans. All I wear are jeans. I’m literally in jeans and a T-shirt every day of my life.”
Production for the new season wrapped recently, marking four years since Season 2 aired in early 2022. The Season 3 update was shared on Instagram, featuring Zendaya in a pickup truck, with the caption: “Let’s ride. April 2026. #Euphoria.”
