*Cardi B is speaking out after reports surfaced about a tense incident during a “Saturday Night Live” rehearsal involving a joke about Nicki Minaj.
TMZ claimed that Cardi allegedly threatened to leave the show, threw her phone at a monitor, and punched a screen in the producers’ office while preparing for SNL’s 1,000th episode on January 31. The damaged equipment had to be replaced, and the joke was reportedly removed.
As Complex reports, hours after the story appeared, Cardi posted on X: “Hmmm all these little random stories… fck it, let them talk, let them eat cake, let them come to the ballllll.” She later replied to a fan account, writing: “Now all of a sudden random stories coming out …like please -_-.”

The fan account had highlighted Alex Bruesewitz, a senior adviser to Donald Trump and friend of Minaj, who tweeted: “This is why people are calling her ‘crash out Cardi.’”
Cardi’s back-and-forth with Bruesewitz this week also touched on reports claiming Minaj’s pro-Trump tweets were “amplified by an army of bots and coordinated activity.”
Cyabra, a disinformation detection company, found that Nicki Minaj’s social media accounts were targeted by a coordinated bot campaign involving over 18,000 fake accounts. Bruesewitz claimed that the company is partnered with the agent of Cardi B, Minaj’s longtime rival.
Cardi quickly distanced herself from the claim, posting, “I do not have anything to do with that and I don’t give AF!!”
