According to TMZ, Cardi’s legal team filed docs in Florida Bankruptcy court accusing the popular YouTuber of fraudulently transferring funds to her husband’s accounts and holding offshore trusts while continuing to live a lavish lifestyle. Cardi has asked the court to dismiss Tasha’s bankruptcy case and block her from refiling for two years as she aims to recover the owed millions.
As we reported earlier, after Tasha K (aka LaTasha Kebe) lost a $4 million defamation lawsuit to Cardi B, she told the court that she couldn’t afford to pay up. According to RadarOnline.com, Tasha declared bankruptcy due to her dire financial situation.
“Clearly [Tasha] does not have the ability to pay the [Cardi] judgment in full,” Tasha’s lawyer previously said in court.
Cardi B sued Tasha K for defamation after she created videos accusing the hip-hop star of being a drug addict and former prostitute with an STD. The hip-hop star testified during the 2023 trial that she suffered extreme emotional distress and that her marriage to Migos rapper Offset was affected. A Georgia jury ultimately found Tasha K liable on four counts and awarded Cardi $4.05 million in damages.

Last summer, Cardi was reportedly ordered to halt attempts to collect on millions she is owed due to the bankruptcy filing. The legal matter is reportedly on hold until the Chapter 11 case is resolved, according to Radar.
