*R&B artist Brian McKnight is pushing back against what he calls outrageous and false claims made by Jaguar Wright, filing a defamation lawsuit in response to her online accusations.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, McKnight is suing Wright over a series of social media statements in which she accused him of hiring and abusing prostitutes during sexual encounters. She also alleged that he physically abused his ex-wife, Julie McKnight, whom Wright claims is her cousin. McKnight has firmly denied all allegations, stating he was never abusive and has no knowledge of any familial connection between Wright and his ex-wife.
In the lawsuit, McKnight claims Jaguar knew she was lying, asserting that her actions were a deliberate attempt to smear his reputation. He’s now seeking damages for the harm done to his name and career.
Wright, a singer known for her music and controversial statements, is no stranger to public scandal. She recently appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she accused Jay-Z and Beyoncé of having more “victims” than Diddy. Following legal threats from the couple’s legal team, Morgan publicly apologized for airing the segment.
Adding to the controversy, Wright has also been named as a defendant in a lawsuit linked to the growing list of sexual assault claims involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. Plaintiffs in the case allege Wright helped transport victims to Diddy’s residence, where some were later assaulted.
