*A shocking find in a Tesla registered to rapper D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has triggered a homicide investigation in Los Angeles.
As ABC 7 reports, the vehicle, abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, was impounded at Hollywood Tow after someone reported it. Workers at the facility noticed a “strong odor” emanating from the car, leading to the discovery of human remains, according to NBC Los Angeles. The remains, found inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk, were described as a “head and torso” by the Los Angeles Times.

The condition of the body has complicated efforts to identify the victim. Sources told NBC News that the “remains were not intact and that identification will be delayed because of the decomposition of the victim.”
While homicide detectives believe the body is that of a woman, KTLA-TV reported that the remains were so deteriorated that gender was not clear. The victim “appears to have been dead for some time,” ABC News noted, with the car abandoned for at least five days.
Details about how the body ended up in the Tesla remain unclear. The vehicle, which had Texas license plates, is one of several owned by D4vd, and a source told ABC News that several people have access to his vehicles. The body was “wrapped in a unique container,” according to NBC Los Angeles, adding to the mystery. Authorities are still working to determine the cause of death and how the remains were placed in the car.
D4vd is cooperating with the investigation, NBC Los Angeles reported. The rapper has not been named a suspect, and no arrests have been reported.
D4vd kicked off his Withered World Tour in August 2025. The North American leg of the tour is set to conclude on September 20 in Los Angeles. He is scheduled to tour Europe, the UK, and Ireland through October and November.
