*A Memorial Day meal at Blaze Pizza will carry an added purpose this year. The fast-casual restaurant chain has announced a nationwide fundraising effort that will direct proceeds toward educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled military service members and first responders.
On May 25, Blaze Pizza will donate $1 from every 11-inch pizza sold at participating U.S. locations to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the spouses and children of American heroes through education. The initiative gives customers a simple way to contribute while gathering with family and friends during the holiday weekend, per the news release.
The campaign builds on an existing relationship between Blaze Pizza and Folds of Honor. Since partnering with the organization, the pizza chain has helped generate more than $330,000 to support scholarship programs benefiting military and first responder families.

“Memorial Day is a meaningful time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many military families and first responders,” said Casey Terrell, Chief Marketing Officer at Blaze Pizza. “We’re proud to partner with Folds of Honor in a way that allows our guests to participate in honoring that legacy through something as simple as sharing a pizza with family and friends.”
Founded in 2007, Folds of Honor provides educational assistance to the families of military personnel and first responders who were killed or disabled in service. Scholarship opportunities supported by the organization range from K-12 private school tuition and tutoring to college, trade school, and postgraduate education.
According to the nonprofit, 91 percent of its expenses go directly toward its scholarship mission. The organization also reports that 43 percent of students served are minorities and 57 percent are female.
For Blaze Pizza, the Memorial Day promotion reflects a broader focus on community involvement while recognizing those who have served. Customers who purchase an 11-inch pizza on May 25 at participating locations will automatically contribute to the fundraising effort, helping support educational opportunities for families whose lives have been shaped by service and sacrifice.
Founded in 2011, Blaze Pizza operates more than 250 restaurants across more than 30 states and three countries. The company is headquartered in Atlanta and is known for its customizable, made-to-order pizzas.
