*Comedian and podcaster B. Simone is facing backlash after sharing an emotional video about her fitness journey.
The 34-year-old recently opened up about her decision to stop using Ozempic and diet pills while focusing on natural weight loss. In a TikTok video posted on March 13, Simone sat on a gym floor and expressed her pride in her progress.
“Guys, I’m really in this gym getting emotional because I am really doing this on my own. Without medication, without diet pills, without Ozempic, without cheating. Like I am trying so hard and I am so proud of myself,” she shared. “I am literally on vacation in Turks and Caicos working out so hard. I am so proud of you Braelyn, I love you so much.”
She detailed her fitness and wellness routine, emphasizing her commitment to nourishing her mind, body, and soul.
“I get up every day and try to feed my mind, my body, my soul, and my spirit with just the ultimate level of nutrition,” she explained.
@therealbsimoneA gym praise ??A message to myself so I never forget how hard Im trying !!! No more diets, no more weight loss trends , no more Ozempic…. Just a lifestyle change and hard work ??♬ original sound – TheBSimone
However, her remarks drew criticism from fans who felt misled, as Simone had previously taken Ozempic, a diabetes medication often used for weight loss. One commenter questioned, “What’s wrong with someone taking Ozempic tho?” Simone clarified, “I took Ozempic for two years… I’m talking about myself and my experience. I’m not talking about anybody else.”
Despite her explanation, many felt betrayed, particularly because she has sold fitness programs. Some accused her of being dishonest about her past use of weight-loss medication.
This isn’t the first time Simone has faced backlash. MadameNoire reports that in 2020, she was called out for plagiarizing parts of her book “Baby Girl: Manifest the Life You Want” and for controversial comments about not wanting to date a man with a nine-to-five job.
