*Anderson .Paak’s divorce is back in motion. A case that had sat largely untouched since the Silk Sonic vocalist first initiated proceedings in January 2024 is now moving again, with estranged wife Jae Lin filing new legal requests — a development that comes on the heels of romance rumors connecting the singer to television personality Jeannie Mai.
According to The Blast, new court documents reveal that Lin is pushing for the couple’s two sons to live primarily with her, while both parents would retain a say in major decisions through shared legal custody. She is also asking the court to grant Anderson time with the children through visitation and secondary custody arrangements. Financially, Lin wants spousal support, while ensuring no such obligation flows back in her direction.
In her filing, Lin left the official separation date open and pointed to irreconcilable differences as the driving force behind the split. The detail echoes Anderson’s 2024 paperwork, where he similarly declined to pin down a specific date the marriage ended.

The renewed legal activity follows buzz surrounding Anderson and Jeannie Mai after the two were seen getting cozy together inside Andy’s, the musician’s jazz speakeasy restaurant and bar. This is not the first time Anderson’s romantic life has generated headlines since his marriage unraveled. He was previously linked to music legend Mariah Carey.
Beyond his personal life, Anderson .Paak has been making moves professionally. He recently stepped into filmmaking with “K-Pops!,” a family comedy that hit theaters on February 27, starring alongside his real-life son Soul Rasheed. In the film, .Paak plays BJ, a struggling Los Angeles musician who travels to Seoul and discovers his teenage son competing on a K-pop talent show. The movie features a soundtrack with K-pop collaborations.
The concept for the film emerged during the pandemic when .Paak was home with his eight-year-old son. Soul’s enthusiasm for YouTube and K-pop inspired his father. “It brought me back to being a kid, making skits with my family and friends,” the musician told Variety, explaining how the experience sparked the idea for a full-length movie.
