*Ts Madison, a pioneering voice in the LGBTQ+ community and the first Black transgender woman to star and executive produce her reality show, is speaking out against Donald Trump‘s recent executive orders targeting the transgender and Black communities.

During a recent interview with TMZ in New York City, Madison expressed her indifference to the new policies, emphasizing that no legal declaration can alter her identity as a Black and transgender woman.

Madison firmly rejected Trump’s “only 2 genders” declaration, affirming that everyone has the right to identify as they choose.

“You have a right to identify exactly however you choose to identify,” she declared, underscoring her commitment to advocacy and visibility within marginalized communities.

The reality star does not see Trump’s dismantling of federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives as solely impacting the Black community but rather as an assault on all marginalized groups in society.

“This isn’t just about race; it’s about every marginalized community under attack,” she stated, noting that such actions create a broader environment of exclusion and inequality.

Regarding Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” Madison reframed it, suggesting that the true intention behind the phrase is to revert the country to a past era characterized by racial privilege.

“47 isn’t trying to ‘Make America Great Again,’ he’s trying to make the country as White as possible,” she asserted, further condemning his administration’s rhetoric as “very dangerous.”

Madison also took aim at celebrities like Nelly and Snoop Dogg, who participated in Trump’s inaugural weekend activities. She expressed disappointment that they would align themselves with an administration she believes romanticizes a time marked by slavery, gender discrimination, and mistreatment of Indigenous people. Her comments reflect not only her discontent with their collaboration but also her larger concern regarding the implications of Trump’s policies on cultural and social progress.

As a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ community, Ts Madison continues to use her platform to advocate for transgender rights and visibility, emphasizing the importance of representation and the unassailable truth of individual identity.
