Q: How did you change your directing style between directing Julia and Christopher?

LW: That’s a good question because every actor is different. Chris needs less. He just wants to be in his world, doing his thing. I didn’t need to talk to him. Julia likes to have conversations, she likes to talk more, and [has] raw emotion. She also wants to know what you want. She’s keen to do the job right. There was a bit more communication with Julia. With Chris, I was standing back a little bit.

Review: Wolf Man has a scary and sweet daddy-daughter component! And the scenes with the dual perspective within the different dimensions from Blake’s point of view and his family’s point of view was visually majestic and endearing. Plus, the thriller reminds us why sometimes we should mind our business – don’t go looking for things you don’t have any business looking for…

Synopsis: Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (“Poor Things,” “It Comes at Night”) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; “Ozark,” “Inventing Anna”), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (MatlidaFirth; “Hullraisers,” “Coma”).

But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte is forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.
